Adios to Fall, Hola Winter

Fall is my favorite season, the cloth and the color are just Amazing,..But the weather had been tough with my hair, My hair is behaving real bad, lol . The products I normally use are not working for my hair anymore, it feel rough and the curl pattern are tighter than ever.

So I am changing my regimen and products.

• Take more water.
• No skipping on my oil scalp massage and daily moisturizer.
• I usually do co-wash but I don't detangling my hair, well I can't do that any more becuase my hair is getting longer and it getting some lovely, magic fairy knots.
• No products with Cones   
• I love my curls, but they need to be bunned up...Moño perez, lol

•   and of course I will follow everything I wrote in a recent post.. winter ain't no joke hermosas

El otoño es mi estación favorita, los colores de la ropa y del ambiente son increíbles, .. Pero el cambio de clima ha sido muy duro con mi pelo, mi pelo se está comportando muy mal, jajaja. Los productos que utilizo normalmente no están funcionando, se siente áspero y los rizos estan más cerrados que antes.

Así que voy a cambiar mi régimen y  los productos.

• Tomaré más agua.
• Poner mas atención en mis masajes con aceites (veces me lo salto)  crema hidratante a diario.
• Yo suelo hacer co-wash pero no me desenredo el pelo, así que no puedo hacer eso más, porque mi pelo esta cada vez más largo y ya se enreda mucho y estan apareciendo los amorosos Nudos Fairy knots.
• No productos con silicones pesados 
• Me encanta mis rizos, pero tienen que estar enmoñados.... Mono Pérez, lol
• Y claro esta seguir al pie de la letra lo que escribí en un post anterior..El invierno no es u juego....

I ♥ products Samples, curlbox!! Me encantan las muestras de productos

I love products samples, every time I go to an event I get out of there with a full bags, and is funny how I ask my husband and kids to ask for one; I don't use this!!-they say---It doesn't matter get one!!!!! lol
Sadly you don't find to many curly hair samples, so here come this great idea from CURLBOX where with a monthly fee you can get 5-7 products sample...What do you think about this idea?

A mi me encantan las muestras de productos, cuando voy a un evento o show, salgo con una bolsa o funda llena de muestras y es divertido verme mandar a mi esposo e hijas a buscar mas; Yo no uso eso--me dicen--No importa agarra una,!!! jajjjajjajja
Desafortunadamente no hay muchas muestras disponible de productos para el pelo rizo, es por lo tanto que esta idea de CURLBOX es tan interesante, en el vídeo de arriba explica de que se trata pero básicamente es que una paga una cuota mensual y por esa cuota te enviaran a tu casa una caja con 5 o 7 muestras de productos todos los meses, dicha suscripción la puedes cancelar en cualquier momento.

Adventure of a Pajonua with curlformers

I wanted to try curlformer for so long , why? because am crazy and after been more than 20 years attach to roller set and blow dryer I want to experiment and touch and feel and create my natural hair.
So, I know I have a lot hair, I know and I though I need almost 100 dollar, yes 100 dollars to fill this pajon with curlformer, I went on line and found a " good deal" for $12.00 free shipping with my Amazom prime membership that my lovely sister Elaine gave me, and I got the curlformer to later find out that they are not really " curlformer " they call Magic leverag here is the link:  http://www.amazon.com/Rollers-leverage-High-Speed-Changing-Leverage/dp/B005H95F7M/ref=pd_sim_bt_1

As soon as I got them I was super exited and when I opened it I knew they weren't enough, so I went sally and bought some real curlfomer, Long and Narrow almost $15.00.

differences between the two brand:

magic leverag-----curlformers

Magic leverag is a little cheaper than curlformer.
Curlformer has a more variety.
You can find curlformers at sally witch can be very convenience for us in the us.
Quality: the same.
The hood of the magic leverag is way too simple and keeps falling apart every time I pull my hair down thought out the former, I don't know about the curlformer hook, but I think it is better.

What went wrong:
Todo. everything, I didn't realize how long my hair really is so there is no way I can use the magic leverag, they are too short for my hair and no matter how hard I tried and re- do it 4 times, no way, my ends still out, not good, not good......ok, so let use the long and narrow!! yes  Dailycurlz, great idea you only have 8 of those!!!!! awwwwww....but I did it any way, they are too narrow, lol, I couldn't pass my hair through it, because i needed a smaller section,  meaning  I will need like a hundreds of those, maybe less, lol.

I will try them again, only this time I will buy Extra long and wide. I may have to give this away, yeah I know good news for one of you and bad news for my pocket...I am starting my Christmas list and I will definitely put my curlformer on it, because there is no curlformer that will win over my experimental spirit ..

Quería probar Curlformer desde hace tiempo, ¿por qué? porque estoy loca  y  después de más de 20 años pegada a un secador y a rolos, quiero experimentar y tocar y sentir y crear con mi pelo natural.

Tan pronto como llegaron estaba como niña con juguete nuevo, pero la emoción me duro poco; cuando los abrí, yo sabía que no eran suficientes, así que me fui y compré algunos en sally de la marca curlfomer, largo y estrecho casi (long and narrow)$ 15.00.


diferencias entre las dos marcas:
Magic leverag es un  poco más barato que  Curlformer.
Curlformer tiene mas  variedad d etamaños.
Puede encontrar los curlformers en sally, lo que  puede ser muy conveniente para nosotros en Estados Unidos.
Calidad: el mismo.
La campana (hook) del magic leverag es demasiado simple y se separaba mucho y salia cuando trataba de pasar el pelo por el curlformer, no sé sobre el gancho Curlformer, pero creo que es mejor.


¿Qué salió mal:
Todo. todo,no tenia idea de lo largo que mi pelo esta en realidad, lo que significa que no hay manera de que pueda utilizar los magic leverag, son demasiado cortos para mi pelo y no importa cómo lo haga o que trate  ni que lo haga hasta 4 veces, de ninguna manera, mis puntas todavía quedaban fuera, Mal, muy mal...... ok, así que vamos a utilizar el largo y estrecho! Dailycurlz sí, buena idea sólo tienes ocho de esos !!!!! awwwwww .... pero lo hice de todos modos, solo para descubrir que son demasiado estrechos, lol, y no dejaba  pasar el cabello por el curlformer , porque las secciones de cabello tenían que ser mas pequeñas, lo que significa que necesitaría cientos de esos, tal vez menos, jajjajjajjaj


Voy a intentarlo de nuevo, sólo que esta vez voy a comprar extra largo y ancho. Voy a tener que regalar estos , sí sé una buena noticia para una de ustedes y una mala noticia para mi bolsillo ... estoy empezando mi lista de Navidad y yo sin duda voy a poner mi Curlformer en él, porque no hay Curlformer que me valla a vencer o ganar..

Curly girl in an straight world/ Rizos en un mundo lacio

The first time I went out into the world with my natural hair , I felt a tightness in the chest, not sure how people would react to this head full of curls, in fact the first time I  straighten my  hair and put on a hairpiece, lol ....
But over time I learned that everything depends on how you feel and how you project it . living in California where most of the people are from Center America with straight hair and been  married to a Mexican most of the places we go, people have straight hair , reason number one why I am  practically the center of attention, for my skin complexion and my big Pajon, plus two curly hair daughters  .. I had all type pf reactions: some hair pulling and asking if it's a wig, how I comb my hair?, do you need a pillow at night? lol. The most discreet only look, like this lady in the picture, lol
La primera vez que salí al mundo con mi pelo natural como tal, sentía una opresión en el pecho, pues no sabia como reaccionarían las personas a esta cabeza llena de rizos, de echo la primera vez que tenia que salir en publico me alacie el pelo y me puse una cola postiza, -----.
Pero con el tiempo he aprendido que todo depende de como uno se sienta y lo que proyecte. el vivir en California donde la mayoría de los habitantes son Centro americanos de pelo lacio y el estar casada con un Mexicano, la mayoría de las partes que vamos todo el mundo tiene el lacio, por lo que yo prácticamente soy el centro de atención por mi tez morena y mi gran pajon, para variar dos niñas agarradas del brazo con cascada de rizos..He pasado de todo; los mas osados me jalan el pelo y preguntan si es peluca, como me peino?, si no necesito almohadas en las noches?, jajjajjjaja. Los mas discretos solo miran según ellos de reojo como esta señora, jjajjajjja.

they always say..... your hair is so beautiful ....

so, I think that we should not take it so personal, we are not gold coin to be like by everyone. Once you break the barrier that we have set ourselves regard our hair, all the others obstacles fall with it. I think people in general admire a well maintained and presentable image no matter if your hair is curly  or not. In my case having natural hair has given me more aware of what I eat and I put on my skin and hair, take care of body form the inside out caring for this beautiful little body that God gave me.♥

porque habla Español y eres morena? etc, etc...

viene el......que pelo tan bello....

so, yo pienso que no hay que tomarlo tan personal, nosotros no somos monedita de oro para gustarle a todo el mundo. una vez que rompemos la barrera que nosotras mismas nos hemos puesto con respecto al pelo, los demás obstáculos caen  con ella. yo pienso que las personas en sentido general admiran una imagen bien cuidada y presentable sin importar si tu pelo es rizo o no. En mi caso el tener el pelo natural me ha dado mas conciencia de lo que como y me pongo en la piel y el pelo, el cuidarme por dentro y el cuidar este cuerpito que Dios me dio.♥

REMEDY TO ITCHY SCALP/ remedios para la picazón en el cuero cabelludo

An itchy scalp is an inflammatory reaction of the skin underneath the hair on your head. An itchy scalp is a common problem, particularly among adults. An itchy scalp may or may not be associated with a visible rash or broken skin.

 Although scalp hair is hardy, and can withstand a lot of abuse, it can be damaged.

Common caused of an itchy scalp

• Acne keloidalis nuchae (specific type of folliculitis that mainly affects males of African descent)
• Products build up
• Allergic contact dermatitis or irritant contact dermatitis, such as from a hair dye
• Dandruff or cradle cap (seborrheic dermatitis)
• Eczema (atopic dermatitis)
• Folliculitis (infection of a hair follicle)
• Fungal infection (tinea capitis, ringworm) or bacterial infection of the scalp
• Head lice
• Hypothyroidism
• Lupus
• Psoriasis
• Stress and anxiety
• Sunburn
• Dry scalp

How I treat my itchy scalp

In y case it seen to be caused by products build up and this is how I treat it:

Homemade scrub: 2 spoon of conditioner 1 spoon of brown sugar.

massage the mix in yous scalp as you do a regular scrub to your skin face, as your scalp skin is similar to your face, please be gentle. This will remove the dead skin in your scalp..

Apple cider Vinegar, this is magical and can help you with the most common caused of dry itchy scalp , wants to know how and why? read here  

Oil massage: Imbalances in the levels of oil (sebum) in the scalp, (often due to shampoos, conditioners and hair dyes) cancause yeast to multiply and grow, resulting in redness, scaling, itchy scalp hair and sometimes causetemporary hair loss.

Buy some name brand, I know the black soap is really good to treat itchy scalp. in this page will find some recommendations.

¿Cómo puedo tratarlo?

En mi caso, cuando me pica el cuero cabelludo es causado por la acumulación de productos y así es como lo trato:

Exfoliante hecho en casa: 2 cucharaditas de acondicionador de 1 cucharada de azúcar morena.

masaje el cuero cabelludo con  la mezcla como si estuvieras exfoliando el cutis, como la piel del cuero cabelludo es similar a la cara, por favor, sé amable. Esto eliminará la piel muerta en el cuero cabelludo ..

El vinagre de sidra de manzana, esto es mágico, y le puede ayudar con la causa más común de la picazón del cuero cabelludo, quiere saber cómo y por qué? lea aquí

Aceites naturales para el craneo: los desequilibrios en los niveles de aceite (sebo) en el cuero cabelludo, (a menudo debido a los champús, acondicionadores y tintes para el cabello) puede hacer que la levadura se multiplique y crezca, lo que resulta en enrojecimiento, descamación, picazón del cuero cabelludo y, en ocasiones, causa la pérdida de cabello temporal. lee mas en este maravilloso articulo.

Tips to straight your curly hair/ Consejos para alaciar el pelo rizo.

I always say that what I like most about my natural hair is the versatility. some style are more save to your hair  than others, but if you do it well, use the right products and tools and you achieve even the straight look one and while, Moderation is the key.

Lo que mas me gusta del pelo natural es la versatilidad, si bien es cierto que algunos estilos son mas beneficioso para el pelo en general, no menos cierto es que si tomas las medidas necesarias y los instrumentos adecuados puedes logras cualquier look de vez en cuando, Moderación es la clave

• For minimun heat you can allow your hair to air dry, combing trough regularly while the hair is getting dry to avoid the curls to define. This is a good Technic if you have fine loosen curls, For my type of hair I prefer to do roller set; is minimum heat and my ends are protected under the roller.  
• Para minimizar el calor puedes dejar que el pelo se seque al aire libre peinandolo cuidadosamente mientras se seca, para que no se rice; sin embargo este método funciona mejor para pelo con rizos mas suelto, para mi tipo de pelo prefiero hacerme rolos, minimiza el calor y mis puntas están protegidas debajo de los rolos.

• Once your hair is complety dry I sectioned the hair and apply Heat protector, I am loving Redken heat Glide, not only because is heat-safe, but control and tames the frizz on culry hair really good.
•  Cuando el pelo este seco, dividelo en cuatro o mas seccione y aplica protector para el calor, Redken heat Glide me encanta, no solo porque protege mi pelo del calor, pero también controla y aplaca el frizz.

• Straitening brush are excellent to give you that  sleek look and as your hands are not involve less frizz.
• Este cepillo para alaciar el pelo es increíble, te da ese efecto lacio y lustroso y como tus manos no están involucradas tocando el pelo, menos frizz

• work the flat iron in one motions not too slow and not too fast and remember don't setting the flat iron on high heat, we wants to avoid heat damage
• Pasa la plancha en un solo movimiento no tan despacio, pero no muy rápido y recuerda no ponerla en el botón de mas calor, para evitar el daño por el alto calor en tu pelo.
