My father is leaving there now and he is kind of sick and can’t move long distance, so I pack my mochila and thanks to my wonderful brother and sister we get there in 3 hours driving at 4:00 am in the morning.. As soon as I plan my trip I knew I need it to take some picture and see how the women of Haiti are surviving and of couse in a natural hair perspective.I took a Motoconcho and had a littler adventure with ” reality ”
It is astonishing how this women woke up in the middle of night to walk bare food for miles and miles to get from Haiti to Dajabon, crossing rivers and walking in under a hot sun and deserted places caring all kind of products, mostly in their head, to sell door by door..

Mi padre esta viviendo allá ahora y como esta un poco enfermo puede moverse largas distancia, así que empaque mi mochila y gracias a mi maravilloso hermano y hermana logre llegar en 3 horas manejando las 4:00 de la mañana .. Tan pronto como planifique mi viaje sabía que necesitaba tomar algunas fotos y ver cómo las mujeres de Haití están sobreviviendo y claro desde una perspectiva del cabello natural. Es sorprendente como estas mujeres se despiertan en medio de la noche a caminar, aveces descalzas por kilómetros y kilómetros para llegar desde Haití a Dajabón, cruzando ríos y caminando en menos de un sol caliente y lugares desiertos cargando tipo de productos, sobre todo en la cabeza, para vender puerta por puerta ..

Deverdad que me averguenza mucho cada vez que veo imágenes como estas, y es que aveces siento que soy un tanto malagradecida con dios pues tengo tantas cosas y aun así aveces me quejo. Estas mujeres, hombres y niños hacen de todo solo por vivir un dia mas. Y lo peor es que muchos de nosotros seguimos viviendo nuestras vidas superficiales solo diciendo pobres personas, pero no hago nada, no hacemos nada
