As I set the clock forward and get in the spring mood, it is a great idea to start spring cleaning from the inside out with a detox drink to start fresh and kick start the transition into that bikini body. I am a great fan of smoothies specially when I am on the run. I chopped up all of the ingredient the night before and in the morning, I just had to blend and go, giving me no excuse to stop at a drive through. This detox drink is not only great to detox your body, but all the ingredients help to aim towards hair growth.

Detoxification enhances the body’s natural cleansing process, allowing it to build better defenses against illnesses and diseases. It also helps to stimulate blood circulation, preventing clotting.

Before I started my body detox, I had to clean out my kitchen and throw away a blender that wasn’t delivering the consistency I wanted in my smoothies. I don’t know about you, but I hate when I find big chunks of fruits or vegetables in my drink, that is why they call it a smoothie, right? it’s supposed to be smooth and easy to drink.   7. Love you more. When you love yourself you start to make better and healthier choices for you, because you love you just the way you are and it is only a matter of getting to love yourself
  8. Stay active. A few times a week, every day, this is up to you and your schedule. But “get up and move” , walk, dance, swim, run, go on a bike ride, something is more than nothing, exercising more will keep you away from the doctor’s office.
  9. Get your beauty sleep. People that don’t get enough sleep tend to eat more. Get enough sleep and you won’t snack as much. Also remember that while you sleep, your cells regenerate themselves. Getting a good sleep will help you with premature aging of your skin.
  10. Surrender yourself with positivity. This my friend, will keep the most important muscle of your body in good health, “your brain”. Negative people drain your body and mind super fast, you don’t need that, you need people that cheer you up and fill your life with joy and positive thoughts.

The  2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup will be this July 7-26, the premier soccer event involving nations from North, Central America, and the Caribbean. This is one of the main events to get together and echar relajo because soccer games are the perfect opportunity to gather with family and friends and poke fun at the opposing team.

For these time of celebration, my friend and family always opt for BBQ; everybody brings a dish, mostly rice and salad and I am always in charge of the drinks. At every get-together, I like to impress my friends, so for this year’s gold cup games, I will be serving a fruit spritzer. This drink is great for the summer and you can basically mix it with non-alcoholic or alcoholic beverages. We all know that it’s not only about the food or the drinks, it’s all about the presentation and high quality ingredients. So, I went to Target to buy everything I needed for this easy but refreshing spritzer.

Your favorite melons (watermelons, cantaloupe, honeydew melon, white honeydew melon, etc.)
You can also add grapes or basically any fruit you like.

Rinse the melons, cut them in half, remove the seeds, and with a melon baller, scoop out the melon balls from the fruit (you can also use an ice-cream scoop to make bigger balls).
Use a flat plate or baking tray and cover with wax paper, then arrange the melon balls on it.
Freeze the melon balls for a few hours until frozen. Remove them from the freezer and transfer them to a freezer bag. Place the bag in the freezer until ready to use.
